Steve Vacha brings decades of expertise to home inspections, having started in the field in 1996 when the industry was still in its infancy. A certified ASHI inspector, Steve founded Home Standards in 2008, growing it into one of the most trusted inspection companies in the Midwest.
Originally from Prairie Center, Nebraska, Steve has called Omaha home for over 40 years. A former juggler, storyteller, and acrobat with a traveling circus, he adds a unique flair to his background. When he’s not inspecting homes, Steve competes in triathlons, staying fit for the physical demands of his profession.

Jon is a native of Omaha and earned his BA in business from University of Nebraska Omaha. He has been inspecting homes with Home Standards since the company started in 2008.
After inspecting a home, Jon’s clients are always grateful once they better understand the house they are buying. He finds helping others by sharing his knowledge and expertise rewarding and considers home inspectors being a “detective and solving ‘house mysteries’.”
“I especially like working with first time home buyers,” Jon said. “I appreciate the relationships I’ve made with people in the real estate industry.”
When not working, Jon enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife, going to playgrounds, riding bikes, and whatever other adventures they can find.

Tim brings years of home inspection experience to Home Standards, backed by a strong background in construction. After earning his BSBA from UNO, he worked in plumbing, concrete, and carpentry before spending a decade as a project manager for a home builder. His hands-on knowledge makes him a trusted resource for buyers and real estate agents alike.
Tim enjoys the variety of homes he inspects and loves helping buyers find their first home. In his free time, he enjoys golf, softball, and spending time with his dog.
PAUL PACHUNKA

Paul is a native of Washington state, but grew up and lived in Nebraska most his life. The majority of his professional career he has been involved in home construction and renovation, including major remodeling, flipping properties, and specializing in redoing beautiful bathrooms and kitchens.
Paul has been with Home Standards since 2015 and likes sharing his home inspection findings with home buyers.
In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, cooking with his wife, and target shooting.
JESSIE FISHER

Jessie was born in Sindey, Nebraksa and grew up on a farm near Davenport. He has been inspecting homes for over 5 years and enjoys the work because of the variety.
“[When inspecting homes] there are often mysteries to solve,” said Jessie. “I enjoy meeting a variety of people, and being able to share my knowledge with them. I appreciate the challenge of explaining often complex and nuanced information to people in a way that is concise and easy to understand.”
In his free time, Jessie creates art, including printmaking and painting. He enjoys hiking as well as volunteering with local groups focusing on food security and food production.
AARON NILIUS

Aaron Nilius is one of the most active commercial property inspectors in the region, bringing years of experience in both residential and commercial inspections. His commitment to thorough inspections and client service has made him a trusted name in the industry.
Born and raised in Omaha, he combines local expertise with a keen eye for detail to help clients make informed property decisions. When he’s not inspecting buildings, Aaron enjoys playing basketball and soccer and watching football.
